Electricidade de Moçambique, E.P. (EDM) invites all interested and eligible companies to submit sealed proposals for four distinct public tenders aimed at providing specialized services and technical equipment essential to maintaining the operational flow of Mozambique’s national power utility. The opportunities cover a scope of work ranging from industrial plant maintenance and heavy-equipment transportation to corporate fleet servicing and technical identification labeling.

According to the official announcement issued by EDM’s Procurement Directorate, the tenders are structured as follows:

Public Tender No. 72/EDM-DIA/2026: Procurement of Repair Services for Cooling Water Circulation Pumps at the Maputo Thermal Power Plant.

Lot Structure: Single Lot.

Provisional Guarantee: 60,000.00 MZN.

Mandatory Site Visit: August 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Bidders are required to gather at the Maputo Thermal Power Plant, located on Av. Namaacha. EDM emphasizes that participation in this visit is strictly mandatory; failure to attend will result in immediate disqualification.

Public Tender No. 73/EDM-DIA/2026: Procurement of Transportation Services for Power Transformers from Chimuara to Cerâmica.

Lot Structure: Single Lot.

Provisional Guarantee: 100,000.00 MZN.

Mandatory Site Visit: August 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM, meeting at the Maputo Thermal Power Plant on Av. Namaacha. As with Tender 72, attendance is an indispensable condition for qualification.

Submission Deadline: August 19, 2026, by 10:00 AM.

Public Opening of Proposals: August 19, 2026, at 10:15 AM (taking place in Quelimane Province).

Public Tender No. 74/EDM-DIA/2026: Procurement of Service Providers for Repair, Maintenance, and Supply of Accessories for Multi-brand Vehicles in Maputo City.

Lot Structure: Single Lot.


Provisional Guarantee: 100,000.00 MZN.

Public Tender No. 75/EDM-DIA/2026: Procurement for the Supply of Equipment Identification Plates.

Safety Protocols and Site Visit Directives

For tenders requiring physical site inspections (Tenders No. 72 and No. 73), bidders must strictly adhere to industrial safety regulations. Access to the Central Térmica de Maputo facility will be denied to anyone not wearing the mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), specifically safety helmets, reflective vests, and steel-toe boots.
Mandatory Online Registration

Prospective bidders must register on EDM’s Supplier Portal prior to participating. Registration on the digital portal ([https://fornecedores.edm.co.mz](https://fornecedores.edm.co.mz)) is a non-negotiable prerequisite for eligibility across all public works, goods supply, and service contracts managed by EDM.
Document Acquisition and Contact Information

Tender dossiers have been available for examination and purchase since July 24, 2026. Interested vendors can acquire the bidding documents upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 1,500.00 MZN. Payments must be deposited directly into BIM account number 1185445. The official receipt must then be collected at the EDM Treasury desk, situated on the ground floor at Av. Agostinho Neto, No. 70, Maputo.
