Electricidade de Moçambique, E.P. (EDM) invites eligible companies to submit sealed proposals for several public and limited tenders aimed at supplying goods and specialized services to strengthen operational infrastructure across the country.

Scope of the Tenders and Bidding Lots

The announced procurement processes cover four main operational categories:

• Public Tender No. 71/EDM-DIA/2026: Repair and Maintenance Services for Pumps at the Maputo Thermal Power Station (Contratação de Serviços de Reparação e Manutenção de Bombas da Central Térmica de Maputo). Single Lot.

  • Provisional Guarantee: 300,000.00 MZN.

  • Mandatory Site Visit: August 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM (Meeting point: Maputo Thermal Power Station, Av. Namaacha).

• Public Tender No. 72/EDM-DIA/2026: Supply of Diverse Electrical Components for the Water Treatment Plant at the Maputo Thermal Power Station (Fornecimento de Componentes Eléctricos Diversos para Planta de Tratamento Água da Central Térmica de Maputo). Single Lot.

  • Provisional Guarantee: 150,000.00 MZN.

  • Submission Deadline: August 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

  • Public Opening Session: August 24, 2026, at 10:15 AM (EDM Headquarters, Av. Eduardo Mondlane n.º 1398, 7th Floor, Maputo).

• Public Tender No. 73/EDM-DIA/2026: Provision of Line Clearing and Tree Felling Services in Medium Voltage Networks for ASC Pemba and ASC Beira (Contratação para Prestação de Serviços de Desmoita e Quebra-fogo nas Linhas de Média Tensão da ASC Pemba e ASC da Beira). Two Lots:

  • Lot A: Medium Voltage line clearing for ASC Pemba.

    • Provisional Guarantee: 50,000.00 MZN.

    • Mandatory Site Visit: August 11, 2026, at 09:00 AM (ASC Pemba, Av. Josina Machel, Caixa Postal, n.º 194, R/C).

  • Lot B: Medium Voltage line clearing for ASC Beira.

    • Provisional Guarantee: 100,000.00 MZN.

    • Mandatory Site Visit: August 12, 2026, at 09:00 AM (ASC Beira, Rua Companhia de Moçambique n.º 248).

  • Submission Deadline (Lots A & B): August 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

  • Public Opening Session: August 25, 2026, at 10:15 AM.

• Limited Tender No. 12/EDM-DIA/2026: Cleaning and Gardening Services at EDM Facilities in the Inhambane Customer Service Area (Serviços de Limpeza e Jardinagem nas Instalações da EDM da Área de Serviço ao Cliente de Inhambane). Single Lot.

  • Provisional Guarantee: N/A.

  • Mandatory Site Visits:

    • August 10, 2026, at 08:30 AM: Head Office ASC Inhambane (DECO and Casa Protocolar Telo), ZSC Quissico, ZC Inharrime, and USC Jangamo.

    • August 11, 2026, at 08:30 AM: ZSC Maxixe, ZSC Homuine, and USC Panda.

    • August 12, 2026, at 08:30 AM: ZSC Morrumbene and ZSC Massinga.

    • August 13, 2026, at 08:30 AM: USC Pambarra.

  • Submission Deadline: September 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

  • Public Opening Session: September 14, 2026, at 10:15 AM (Head Office ASC Inhambane, Av. Moçambique n.º 40, Head Office Building, Inhambane Province).

Participation Terms and Requirements

• Mandatory Site Visits: Participation in scheduled site visits is strictly mandatory for Tenders 71, 73, and 12. Non-attendance will result in automatic disqualification of the bidder.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Attendance at site visits strictly requires personal protective equipment, specifically safety boots, reflective vests, and safety helmets. Access to facilities will be denied to non-compliant participants.

• Supplier Portal Registration: Bidders are invited to register on the official EDM Supplier Portal ([https://fornecedores.edm.co.mz](https://fornecedores.edm.co.mz)) to participate in EDM procurement procedures. Online platform registration is mandatory to establish eligibility for contract awards.

Acquisition of Tender Documents and Payment

Interested bidders may inspect or obtain bidding documents until July 30, 2026, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 1,500.00 MZN.

Payment must be executed via bank deposit to BIM account number 1188467, and the original deposit slip must be presented at the Treasury Department located at Av. Agostinho Neto, N.º 70, R/C, Maputo City, to collect the official receipt.
