Keith Jones, also known as "Flacka," testimony offers a closer look at the recent claims made by Grant’s who testified "Durk told us to.", opening a significant avenue for defense cross-examination.

Under cross-examination, Jones acknowledged that his account changed substantially over time. When initially arrested and interrogated by law enforcement, Jones insisted the trip to California was merely aimed at purchasing marijuana, denying any knowledge of a bounty on Quando Rondo.

Jones admitted on the stand that his early statements were a mix of "half truths and half lies".

Pressed by the defense on whether cooperating against Durk and co-defendant Deandre Wilson was his only real chance to escape a life sentence, Jones responded, "I believe so."

Durk's defense team, led by attorney Drew Findling, vigorously picked apart Jones' claims regarding financial compensation:

The defense was quick to point out that no written evidence was brought under oath, no written or physical record could substantiate the claims that Durk offered money for the hit. Adding that Flack had previously testified that he confronted Durk on three separate occasions about receiving payment for the shooting. However, he conceded that no security personnel, photographers, or other associates were present during any of those three conversations.

To close their defence they pointed out that his concert attendance in 2024. Arguing that his action was/is inconsistent with someone harbouring intense resentment over an unpaid hit job.

In response to questions about how he came to expect money, Jones testified that co-defendant Deandre Wilson informed him prior to the California trip that financial compensation was involved.
